2Hi, 4Hi and 6Hi full hardened
The high alloy content in tool steels allows a heat treatment in the vertical furnaces with a gas protective atmosphere. All full hardened rolls reach the secondary hardness.
The full hardened tool steel rolls have the following advantages:
- Better wear resistance
- Better resistance to temperature shocks
- Better resistance to spalling
- A uniform structure along the whole roll volume
- Less internal stresses
